I ride a 300 and a 250 and my ass dyno says the 250s hp is equal and easier to make but the 300s torque gets me up hills with less work. But all my 250 bikes have had different characteristics screamers -chuggers. I would think drivetrain losses on a bike are less than 10/%. More than that and you've got' issues'.
