Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup story is a legend famous for the Malays , especially in Malaysia . It tells the story of a poor couple, Si Kantan husband and Si Tanjung wife who are believed to live in Bukit Berapit, about one from Pangkalan Kapar , Klang . They both made a living by taking wages for weaving nipah roofs, paddy fields, weaving mats, catching river fish and so on until they managed to own a piece of land and a day, they went to the edge of the forest to look for vegetables. while picking cemperai leaves, they heard a loud and frightening voice. Si Kantan told his wife that it was Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup cave as his grandfather once told him. A few years later, they were blessed with 2 bright eyes, a daughter named Si Bunga Melur and another son of Si Pekan. However, unfortunately Si Kantan had died when their children were young, this made Si Tanjung live a crazy life, and lost his place of day, Si Tanjung managed to catch a tembakul fish while he craved the fish eggs. He told Si Melur to boil the fish eggs while he went to take a shower. When the eggs are cooked, some are given to Si Pekan and some are kept for his mother.
